FP7 Introduction
The following are the key aspects of FP7
- The programme funds research and demonstration activity
- Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of organisations from different Member States
- The Programme provides a contribution to the costs of a successful project. Research activity is funded at 50% (75% for SMEs, public bodies and universities) and demonstration at 50% for all organisation types
- Project ideas must fit in with the Commission's priorities which are published in a Work Programme
- Projects must be innovative at a European level - the work should advance the European state of the art
The EU Energy Focus team's factsheet entitled 'FP7 Is it for me' provides more information on these key aspects.
